Hi,

My name is Adam Kelsey.

I am an aspiring animator and game designer based in Melbourne, Australia.

I have a strong interest in the creative industries, especially video games and animation and create time for personal art projects, painting and writing. I am deeply interested in a wide variety of games and animation and relish the opportunity to talk shop with anyone; friends, colleagues, fellow students etc.

About Me

As part of my education capstone projects in 2022 at Swinburne University of Technology I worked on directing and animating a short film called ‘Seagull Union’, my own original idea and the video game ‘Six O’Clock Swill’ for which I was the background artist and art lead. On both projects I was in a managing role responsible for communicating my ideas and direction to a small team of other students to produce a final product. I have started to build an experience base as part of a creative team as I look to work and develop my vocation in the arts and entertainment industries.

I believe my early education pursuing an architecture degree at the University of Melbourne has given me a practical basis to appreciate engineering, project development and spatio-visual requirements. Towards the end of that course I learned that I was not entirely happy with this career path as it was too creatively restrictive. The freedom I have found in animation and games both professionally and recreationally has been fantastic, I can now live up to my creative potential.

In 2025 I entered into the ‘Good to Great’ scholarship program with CG Spectrum working in a studio environment among dozens of other talented animators and artists. As well as completing a handful of animations and working with mentor feedback I polished my animation and software skills with ToonBoom.

I am an organised and rational planner with the ability to think laterally and flexibly. I enjoy working collaboratively with other creatively minded people and highly value the sense of achievement that comes with producing art. I am confident I can be a valued asset and team member in the animation and video games sectors.
